Four Lakeridge High School class of 2026 graduates helped the Post 158 Barbers carry the entire Northwest Region to the championship game of the American Legion World Series — and finished second in the nation.
Eight regional champions went to Shelby. Two played on the last day. One of them was full of guys who grew up on Overlook Drive. This page exists so nobody can say they didn't know.
Led 6–1 after three innings. Lincoln rallied to take the title. The Barbers finished national runners-up.

Nobody handed this team anything. They lost their regional opener 2–0 and then won five straight elimination games to survive.
Went undefeated through the Oregon AAA State Tournament, closing it out with a 4–2 win over Medford in nine innings. The program's third state title in four years.
Dropped the opener to Lewis Clark 2–0, then refused to lose again: a walk-off squeeze bunt to beat Medford 4–3, 7–5 over Lewis Clark, 3–2 over Hawaii's Team Central in the semifinal, and an 8–7 championship comeback from down 7–2. Ryan Hemsley was named Regional MVP.
Lost the opener 4–3 to Jacksonville after a four-hour rain delay. Beat Bedford 8–5 the next day despite losing two of their best players to season-ending injuries in the first inning. Lost 4–3 to Midland, and still advanced: in a three-way tiebreaker, the Barbers had allowed the fewest runs.
Tied 1–1 in the sixth, Cooper Berta made a diving catch and turned it into a double play. The Barbers scored twice in the seventh, Jaden Tragesser's RBI single included, and Berta closed it out on the mound.
Up 4–0 in the second on Tragesser's three-run double and Andrew Ha's RBI double, then 6–1 after Berta's RBI single in the third. Lincoln (Neb.) Post 500 answered with eight runs over its next three at-bats and won 9–6. As coach Joe Duran put it, they “fought ’til the end.”
